My problem is that I'm easily bored...
Give me a whole new problem to solve, a whole new challenge to meet or a whole new subject to learn and I'm your man/woman/person*
Give me something that I've done before and I turn into the least motivated person on the planet.
Unfortunately at work I'm coming up to the busiest time of the year doing the same thing that I did last year. And I'm starting to get the feeling I'd rather shoot myself in the head than do it all over again.
So to indulge my ego I'm fantasising about the following career changes**
- Coach/mentor to executive type people... or in fact anyone who will pay me
I quite like people. Especially if they have more issues than me.
- Lawyer/Barrister
This Life obviously has had more of an effect on me than I realise.
- IT
Sometimes I don't like people. You: "Fix my computer"; Me: "OK, now go away".***
- Director type person
So I can at least rule a small part of my world. And tell everyone else what to do.
Sigh... maybe one day.
*Delete as applicable depending on how politically correct you need to be.
**These career change fantasies happen quite regularly. I've already changed career twice - once from vet to geneticist, once from geneticist to banking whore.
***Not necessarily my experience of IT people... but this is the type of IT person I would certainly aspire to be.

Grrrr... how annoying is that!
Am sure it's probably all due to my ineffectual use of blogger - but how annoying!
I need help* - anybody??
*especially as I'm not the most technologically savvy.
**Update**
Yay! Everything seems fine today!

Christmas parties (part three) *start from part one*
(cont)
- Many, many other inappropriate pairings (including mine with a guy I'd fancied for a while but who'd had a girlfriend up until a couple of weeks before*).
- Singing 4 non blonds' "What's up" to a crowd of approximately four people.**
Can't wait for this year!
*This lasted a full three weeks before we decided we weren't made for each other after all.
**Not a good song for me but fortunately all the sensible people had gone home by this point (the four is a guess as I may have been seeing double at the time).

Christmas parties (part two)
(from previous post):
Some of my Christmas party experiences:
- Having to downgrade our Company's venue because the previous year the employees had thrown the Christmas tree in the swimming pool.
- Witnessing a brawl between two partners of the firm I was working for at the time, apparently over the secretary that they shared.
- Drinking whisky out of a brown paper bag at a bus stop at two in the morning, in the snow, wearing inappropriate clothing, and sharing it with the tramp that was hanging out there (I'd won the whisky in the work raffle).
- A foxy PA giving a lap dance to a senior partner, unaware that everyone was watching. You can guess the result.

Christmas parties (part one*)
'Tis the season to be jolly, all the adverts are telling us. It's certainly the season to get completely wasted with your work colleagues (something that I'm certainly not averse to) but there's something about these events that turns ordinary people into something out of an Irving Welsh novel.

Why, oh why...
...won't blogger let me post my Christmas parties post*! Perhaps there's some kind of scary internal editing machine that won't post rubbish! If that's the case then I'm in trouble...
Boo...
*Will keep trying - I like it even if blogger doesn't!
